In an effort to further boost up the Swift hatchback sales in the country, Maruti Suzuki has discreetly introduced the Swift limited edition model in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol Swift limited edition model is priced at Rs 5,44,794, while the diesel version of the Swift Limited Edition model is priced at Rs 6,39,663. Going by the price, we believe that the limited edition models are based on the LXI Optional (O) variant and changes will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades while mechanically it continues to be powered by existing engine options.
Maruti Suzuki has not spoken in detail about the equipment list in the limited edition model of the Swift hatchback. Visually, we expect to see limited edition decals and badging, black film on A and B Pillars, silver front fog lamp bezel, full wheel caps, passenger side airbag and stereo with radio and CD player. The special edition model might also be offered with a rear parking sensor.
Mechanically, the petrol version of the Swift limited edition continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine which generates 85bhp of power and 114Nm of torque, while the diesel version is powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine that generates 74bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
