Maruti Suzuki has launched a special edition of the Swift just ahead of the festive season. The petrol version of the new Swift Glory edition is priced at Rs 5.28 lakh and the diesel variant at Rs 6.19 lakh.
The Swift Glory Edition is based on the standard Swift hatchback and gets a cosmetic makeover to make it look more appealing. The car gets a white, red and black paint scheme with decals over the body. The roof top is painted red like the OVRMs, front bumper lip, rear bumper and side skirts.
Inside the cabin, the layout is the same as the regular Swift but the seats are offered in a dual-tone red and black colour. The steering wheel and gear lever is also wrapped in a red cover. Maruti Suzuki is offering a Bluetooth-enabled music system and a reverse parking assist system along with a rear-view camera with this special edition. The special edition Swift will be offered in the Vxi and Vdi trims, meaning, the cars will miss out on airbags and alloy wheels. However, the manufacturer is offering ABS, EBD and brake assist as standard with the special edition.
There are no changes to the mechanicals and the engine options are carried over. The petrol version is powered by the 1.2-litre K-Series mill and the diesel variant employs the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel unit. The transmission option remains the same as both the engine options come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Swift Glory Edition is just another limited edition version of the Swift with some cosmetic changes. Maruti Suzuki has made these changes to the car to attract more buyers by offering them a slightly different looking car.
