The Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift has been spied at what appears to be the company’s storage yard. The pictures show a large number of vehicles being loaded onto trucks signifying that production and deliveries (to the dealers) of the vehicle have begun.
The facelifted Swift retains much of its current overall design but now gets LED daytime lights in the higher- spec variants and what appears to be a chrome strip in the same spot on the lower- spec versions. Other changes include new design alloy wheels and wheel covers, chrome door handles, reverse parking sensors with camera (Z and above for the latter).
The interiors are expected to now include button start, electrically adjustable OVRMs and maybe an updated infotainment system.
On the engine front, the hatchback will continue with the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre MJD oil burner. Both engines have been mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It is possible that MSIL may also offer an AMT with the second level variants.
We expect that the Swift facelift will be priced in the range of Rs 4.43 lakh to Rs 6.71 lakh. It competes with the Grand i10 and the Ford Figo.
