The Maruti Suzuki Swift is still the king in the B-segment of cars in India. But having grown old amidst new competition, the hatchback has seen itself move down the sales charts. However, Maruti Suzuki is not losing hope anytime soon. The carmaker has introduced a special Deca edition before its next-generation model arrives. How different is it from the standard car? Check it out.
The car's design celebrates the number 10 players who light up the football field with their performances. The special features are in line with this approach.
This limited edition version is available in two variants, the VXi and the VDi, and comes in two colours, bright red and pearl white.
There are racing stripes on its body to add to the appeal of its external appearance. Then front bumper gets an extended spoiler to give the fascia a sporty look.
On the sides, one can notice the side skirts done in a similar fashion. A huge '10' number decal is also pasted on the front door.
Continuing the sporty look at the back is a spoiler, which houses a high stop lamp. The tail gate also gets the white racing stripes.
There is a special 'Deca' emblem to add to the car's exclusivity. The vehicle sports a reverse parking assist system equipped with a camera that will make parking easier.
The Swift Deca's cabin gets a slew of added features apart from its black and red interior. There are football themed covers for the seats.
The seat covers also have a different pattern in red for the side bolstering. The carmaker has also equipped the driver's seat with a centre arm rest.
There is a Sony multimedia touch screen music system paired with Sony speakers on the doors. This 6.2-inch touchscreen with bluetooth is compatible with the smart phones as well.
The interior styling kit includes ambient lighting in a red shade. The centre console gets a faux carbon fibre finish and the steering wheel with red accents.
Power comes from the 85bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine and 74bhp 1.3-litre Multijet diesel mill. Both the engine options come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The new Maruti Swift Deca Limited Edition's additional features are worth over Rs 18,000. The Deca VXi is priced at Rs 5,94,445, while the diesel VDi costs Rs 6,86,983.
