With the anticipation of the inevitable introduction of the CNG powertrain in the new Swift, the automaker just announced the prices of the CNG-powered hatchback today. The 2024 Swift now gets a CNG version at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.19 lakh, across three variants. In this article, we have listed the claimed mileage of the new Swift CNG.
The new Maruti Swift CNG can be had in the VXi, VXi (O), and the ZXi variants. The 1.2-litre Z-series three-cylinder engine comes with a single CNG tank with a capacity of 60 litres. This motor is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and is tuned to generate 69bhp and 102Nm of peak torque. As for the mileage, the new Swift CNG is rated to deliver an ARAI-certified mileage of 32.85km/kg, which is six per cent more than the previous iteration.
Once ordered, customers will start receiving the Swift CNG from 12 October, 2024. With just four months in the market, the new Swift has already registered over 67,000 unit sales across India. And now, with the introduction of the CNG version, the Swift has become the 14th model in the brand’s CNG portfolio.
