Maruti Suzuki's upcoming mini SUV, the S-Presso has started reaching dealerships across the country. The car was recently spied at a dealership yard, courtesy of a YouTube channel. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is all-set to launch in India on 30 September.
The spied model seems to be a mid variant of the S-Presso, as the car features blacked-out mirrors and steel rims (without wheel caps). The car gets boxier headlamps and an all-black four-slot front grille. The silhouette is that of a tall-boy cross-hatch with an upright nose. At the rear, the S-Presso features oval taillights, while a black plastic cladding on the rear bumper adds some ruggedness to it.
While the interiors are not visible in these images, previous spy shots have revealed that the car will get a centrally-mounted instrument console. Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 67bhp and 91Nm. It will be mated to a five-speed gearbox, and higher variants will also be available with an AMT.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be positioned between the Alto and the Wagon R. So, expect a starting price of around Rs 4 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Renault Kwid, Datsun redi-GO and the Tata Tiago, among others.
