The upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was spied once again ahead of its official launch in the festival season this year. The fresh images reveal the boxy side profile of the upcoming compact crossover. Internally codenamed Y1K, the upcoming S-Presso is based on the Heartect platform and shares its underpinnings with the new Wagon R, Swift, Ertiga.Â
Based on what can be seen, the S-Presso is likely to skip alloy wheels as the test mules have been spied featuring steel wheel with hub caps. It is believed that the vehicle is likely to carry some for detailing like sharp headlamps and sweptback tail lights from the Future-S concept which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo event.  Â
Mechanically, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K10B petrol engine that comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission and an AMT unit. As for safety, the vehicle will get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and front seatbelt reminders. At the time of launch, the S-Presso might also offer the Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system.
