The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 3.69 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It will be available in six variants across six colour options and the only engine on offer is a three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol motor.
Exterior highlights include the high stance, dual-tone bumpers and a new grille. The interior is standard Maruti Suzuki fare with a centre mounted instrument and a black theme all around.
The top-spec model gets front power windows, touchscreen infotainment system with Maruti Suzuki Smart Play and a fully digital instrument cluster. We have looked at the interior and exterior highlights in two separate stories and you can read about that here and here. All versions get dual front airbags as well as ABS with EBD.
The S-Presso is powered by Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 67bhp/90Nm. This engine can be had with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.
The S-Presso is Maruti Suzuki’s answer to the likes of the Renault Kwid and sports the micro-SUV body style. It is also a rival for Maruti’s own Alto K10 as well cars like the Datsun Go and Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
