Maruti Ignis, the latest premium hatchback from the Indian automaker has quickly caught the attention of potential buyers in the country. Reports indicate that Maruti Suzuki has already received sold about 4,830 units in just 18 days, since its launch on January 13. It further states that the Ignis received over 10,000 bookings for the vehicle in a week’s time since launch. The vehicle offered interesting set of features and a new design that has made it a popular choice among young car buyers.
Maruti Suzki Ignis is offered in petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series engine that generates 82bhp of power and 113Nm of torque, while the diesel version is powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS engine which generates 74bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. To distinguish it from the rest, the Ignis offers AMT option in both fuel types.
In efforts to stay ahead of the competition, Maruti Suzuki also offers latest customisation and exterior styling options. Moreover, the model also gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Maruti Suzuki currently has 200 Nexa outlets located across 121 cities and by 2020, the company plans to double its numbers to 400 outlets.
Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce more new models as well as strengthen its Nexa outlets in the country. This will eventually help the Indian carmaker raise its market share by more than the current 50 per cent. Reports indicate that Nexa has already sold over 1,85,000 vehicles till date, with an indication of a positive growth ahead.
