- Fourth-gen model was launched in May 2024
- Current waiting period stands at two to three weeks
Maruti Suzuki has announced the sales figures of its range and out of the lot, the Swift hatchback has surpassed 35,800 unit sales since its launch. The new-gen model was introduced in May 2024 and has achieved this landmark in under two months.
Last month, we reported that the automaker received over 40,000 bookings of the popular hatchback. Notably, the sales of the Swift at that time stood at 19,000 units. Currently, the Swift is available at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 6.49 lakh with a waiting period of two to three weeks.
The Swift nameplate is currently in the news for all the good reasons as the brand recently announced a huge milestone. The Swift model recently surpassed the 30 lakh unit sales milestone since its inception. It was first introduced in 2005 and is currently in its fourth-generation phase.
Moreover, reports suggest that the CNG powertrain will be reintroduced in the Swift very soon. The model is currently only available with the new 1.2-litre NA petrol engine in a three-cylinder guise. The motor is capable of churning out 80bhp and 112Nm of torque while being mated to a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
