For a while now spy shot images of the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross had been giving a glimpse of how the new model will look like. Sometime back, ahead of its official launch, the parent company Suzuki had also showcased the new S-Cross at an event in Hungary. This time around, fresh images clearly indicate that the new facelift model is reaching dealerships in the international market.
In terms of design, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will get a new front featuring a large vertical slat grille and tweaked headlamps. The bumpers have been restyled to house a new lower grille and fog lamps. The hood is also re-sculpted for a fresher appeal. The sides look premium with chrome window trim inserts, while the rear will also get a tweaked taillight design that will render it a fresher appeal. As for the interior, it is expected to offer premium upholstery and an updated infotainment system. It might also get new interior colour combinations and an updated instrument cluster.
Under the hood, we expect that the India-bound model might continue to be offered with 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine options. It is also believed that the company might also introduce a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine owing to growing demand for petrol cars. Though the international market will get the new S-Cross this year, the Indian market might get the new model sometime in 2017.
