Maruti Suzuki Ritz has been launched today. The Ritz is now available in petrol and diesel variants. For the petrol variant, a new K12M series has been developed which fulfills the Euro-IV norms. In case of the diesel, the 75bhp 1.3-litre DDIS engine of the Swift will power the car. Â The LXI (Petrol base model) costs Rs 3.9 lakh and the LDI (diesel base model) costs Rs 4.65 lakh. (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
The Ritz is a practical car made for city use and the car carries the image of the tall-boy. The Ritz has a shorter wheelbase than the Swift but the Ritz springs on the McPherson struts for the front and torsion beam for the rear like the Swift.Â
The petrol variant has a dual colour interior with a great combination of blue and black on the dash, doors as well as the seat fabric. The dual colour makes the interior brighter and airy than the Swift which has dark interiors. The large speedometer gives it a classic look along with the tachometer on top left which gives it a sporty touch. The gear knob has been moved into the central console somewhat like the Hyundai i10 making gear shifting easier.
