In a bid to offer the Swift Dzire buyers something unique, Maruti Suzuki has revealed a special edition of the compact sedan. This Allure Edition gets some cosmetic enhancements and additional features over the standard model on sale.
The exterior gets chrome bumper corner protectors, side skirt, chrome window frame, 'Allure' body decals, boot-lid chrome garnish and special 'Allure' badging. The carmaker has also revamped the interior to give it a premium look. The seats are covered in dual tone beige and chocolate brown covers, the steering wheel is wrapped in leather and there's faux wood garnish on the dashboard and doors. Then, there is a front centre arm rest, sill plates and beige floor mats. A Nertz music system can also be had as an optional fitment with this special edition.
There are no mechanical changes and the car continues to be powered by the same engine options. The petrol version gets the 1.2-litre K-series VVT mill producing 84.3bhp and 115Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel variant is powered by the 1.3-litre DDiS unit churning out 75bhp and 190Nm of torque. On the transmission front, a five-speed manual gearbox comes as standard in both variants, while a five-speed AMT is offered only in the diesel model.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch this limited edition vehicle and announce variant-wise prices soon. It will be offered in all six colours - sangria red, cave black, magma grey, silky silver, alp blue and pearl artic white. Upon launch, we can expect the carmaker to ask for a small premium over the prices of the standard car.
