It’s been just two months since its launch and Maruti Suzuki has already recalled its latest sedan, the Ciaz, for a potential clutch issue.
The company stated through a communication on their official website that 3,796 manual transmission units of the Ciaz have been recalled. These cars are among those manufactured till November 7th. Maruti Suzuki will inspect a faulty clutch and replace the relevant part of the clutch operating system. Its dealers are already in the process of contacting affected customers and the inspection and replacement will be done free of cost.
Maruti Suzuki has received a very positive response from potential buyers for the Ciaz. Within a month of its launch, it managed to receive 17,000 bookings. Launched at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Ciaz is available in four variants each for the petrol and diesel engine.
