Maruti Suzuki has announced the recall of 52,686 units of the Swift and Baleno that were manufactured on December 1, 2017 and March 16, 2018 for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose.
The recall campaign will begin from 14 May and the owners of those vehicles involved in the recall will be contacted by their dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.
The automaker has added that the inspection and replacement of the part will be done free of cost for the customer. Maruti has provided a link on its official website for all customers of the Swift and Baleno to enter their vehicle ID and see if their car is included in the recall.
The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice / registration documents.
