Maruti Suzuki may showcase next generation Dzire next year

Maruti Suzuki may showcase the next generation Swift Dzire compact sedan next year after parent company Suzuki reveals the next generation Swift in the second half of 2016. The Indo-Japanese automaker was believed to previously be launching the new Dzire sometime in 2018 but decided to speed up the process and bring out the car next year.
The next generation Swift will be based on the same platform as the Baleno hatchback and so even the Dzire will be based on the same platform. It is expected to get lighter but stronger resulting in higher levels of safety.
There is not much else to speculate apart from the fact that the Swift and eventually the Dzire too will share many common parts with the Baleno when it comes to features, cabin and exterior elements.
Needless to say, the Swift world premiere should take place in India as we are pretty much the largest market for the popular hatchback. The Dzire will follow in its footsteps a short while later.
