Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted petrol Ritz for Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) just at the beginning of the festival season. The facelifted version of the hatchback will now be available in three petrol variants LXi, VXi and ZXi. The new Ritz facelift petrol is also powered by the same four-cylinder 1.2-litre engine, which produces 83.8bhp and 113Nm of torque.
The facelifted Ritz has subtly reworked bumpers, grille, head lamps and an integrated spoiler at the rear. There is a new paint shade available as well, called "Mystique Red". On the inside the company says it has given the Ritz new dual-tone interiors - this is limited to a red dual-tone interior on the VXi and ZXi variants. The rear seat has also been reworked to offer better lumbar support. The Ritz ZXi gets steering mounted audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, electronically operated mirrors and alloy wheels.
The car is sold abroad as the Suzuki Splash and is offered with the option of a four speed automatic. We had reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki might launch this model in India but so far there has been no word from the company.
