Maruti Suzuki introduces BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre Wagon-R

-Price range now Rs 4.42 lakhs to Rs 5.41 lakhs 

-All petrol engines from Maruti Suzuki are now BS-VI compliant 

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre engine for the Wagon R tallboy. This now completes the Indian’s automaker’s transition to BS-VI compliance in terms of petrol engines. 

This 1.0-litre engine produces 67bhp/90Nm and can be had with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated manual. This engine also powers the S-Presso and Celerio. We expect an announcement regarding the Celerio and CelerioX becoming BS-VI compliant very soon. 

The upgrade to BS-VI compliance for this engine in the Wagon R sees a price increase for the hatchback in the range of Rs 3000 to Rs 30000 depending on the variant.
