- Production ramped up to cut down waiting period
- Hatchback sales average 18,000 units per month
- 4,50,000 units of the Baleno sold since launch
Maruti Suzuki has increased the production of the Baleno to meet the increasing demand of the hatchback. This will cut down the waiting period and add to the delight of prospective buyers.
The carmaker has taken this measure at the right time, especially with the festive season around the corner. The sales of the car are expected to increase with Indians opting to buy a new car in this period. Looking at the past eight months, it is seen that the production of the Baleno alone has been ramped up by 34 per cent.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno was launched in October 2015 and the premium hatchback still commands a good demand despite any updates or additional features. Till date, over 4,50,000 units of the car have been sold. It is manufactured at the Sanand production plant in Gujarat and is also the first India-made vehicle to be exported to Suzuki's domestic market, Japan.
