Maruti Suzuki launched its most-anticipated car, the Ignis with much fanfare last week. The Ignis crossover is not a run-of-the-mill Maruti Suzuki car, but with its quirky looks and spirited theme, it is squarely aimed at the millennials in India. The car has a distinctive styling and comes rich in features. Maruti Suzuki hasn’t held back in terms of personalisation either with a plethora of accessories for the potential customers to reflect their individual personality.
Starting with the roof wraps, the Ignis comes with nine paint schemes – six base colours and three of them with contrasting roofs. Customers can accessorise the roof with four different styles decals – radical, implode, digiscape and unbox. Called ‘Crowners’ for the Ignis, each decal gets a different style to suit the customer’s preference.
The roof line spoiler gets five colour options including blue, grey, white, red and silver. The customer can have the spoiler done in the carbonfibre finish as well.
The grille and ORVM has a contrasting garnish of red, blue or titanium accents. The cladding on the wheel arches (or Sterling as Maruti calls them) gets six contrasting themes with respect to the body paint. The Ignis can also be had with a door crossbar cladding, glass line spoiler, and door visors.
On the inside, there are 12 individually designed seat covers to choose from. The cabin gets an interior styling kit with three different colourway inserts on dashboard, door handles and centre console. The doormats too have five variety of options and with are ambient lamps, boot mat, door mounted puddle lamps for the customer.
The entertainment accessories of the Ignis gets a touchscreen display for the rear passengers, 140W active subwoofer, a 400W 2-channel amplifier, and a 270W Kenwood multimedia system.
Maruti Suzuki will also provide pre-customised packages with the Ignis called the acropolis and scorcher collection across the range. The acropolis collection comes with black carbon cladding door visor and carbon-fibre finished spoiler with leather wrapped steering wheel, premium seat covers and cushion. The scorcher, on the other hand, gets door visor, glass line spoiler, bumper garnishes with designer mat and contrasting Sterling garnish.
The Ignis will get the I-Create option for further customisations like we have for the Vitara Brezza later, but for now, the customers can have their Ignis personalised according to individual preferences through the Nexa dealership. The prices for the same will soon be available at respective dealerships. Expected cost for the accessories can start at around Rs 20,000.
