The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has achieved a new milestone by surpassing 1.5 lakh unit sales in India since its launch in 2023. The Baleno-based hatchback has hit this new landmark in just 14 months of going on sale. Notably, the brand recorded 1 lakh unit sales in just 10 months of the launch.
On average, Maruti Suzuki sells 10,000 to 12,000 units of the Fronx per month, making it the most popular Nexa model after the Baleno hatchback. Recently, the automaker launched two new variants of the Fronx with additional safety features to attract a wider range of customers.
Under the hood, the Fronx is equipped with two powertrain options – a 1.2-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The former can also be opted with a factory-fitted CNG kit option in select variants. As for the transmission, the Fronx is offered with a five-speed manual, five-speed AMT, and a six-speed torque converter unit.
