Maruti Suzuki is setting up Nexa outlets in the country and is expecting the new dealerships to contribute a significant amount to its sales. The company is planning to hire 2,500 managers by the end of this fiscal year for these new outlets under the Nexa brand.
We can expect around 35-40 Nexa outlets to be operational in the coming months. The company has laid out a plan, which in its initial stage includes hiring of over 1,000 relationship managers. These managers have already been hired and the remaining will be recruited by the end of this year catering to consumers spread across 100 Nexa outlets.
R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, said, "Our intent is to hire around 2,500 relationship managers for 100 Nexa outlets by the end of this fiscal. Gradually, we have started hiring. Intent is to have 35-40 Nexa outlets operational when we start the project (Nexa). We are going pan-India. Based on research, we know that 75-80 per cent sales of our premium offerings come from top 30 cities in the country. So, we are going to target these places."
Maruti Suzuki aims to sell two million units annually by 2020 with around 25 models from its portfolio. The company is banking on the Nexa network to help them achieve this target. The Nexa outlets will be functional within a few days with the upcoming S-Cross at these showrooms.
