- Won’t be a Nexa product
- Will be sold at regular Arena outlets along with the Swift and Brezza
Â
With Maruti shifting most of its premium products in the Nexa range, the Ertiga was expected to head there as well, however they have decided against it and so the Ertiga will be sold via the regular Arena outlet. While the buying experience in a Nexa showroom is definitely superior, Maruti is making sure that the Arena outlets offer a more than pleasant experience too.
Powering the new Ertiga will the new 1.5-litre petrol engine that also powers the Ciaz. This should make the Ertiga a better people hauler. As for the diesel, we think Maruti will continue with the tried and tested 1.3-litre DDiS diesel till their in-house 1.5-litre diesel engine debuts. The car will also boast the new-gen Heartect platform which is lighter and stronger. The new platform has also made the car wider and longer than before.
The new Ertiga will be launched on 21st November and we expect prices to start upwards of Rs. 7 lakh going up to Rs. 11 lakh.
