We were the first to spot the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga without any camouflage, when it was called as RIII. Maruti Suzuki has been successful with the entry-level MUV Eeco and now the company will introduce the Ertiga in early 2012.
The Ertiga will be a seven-seater (six-seater in top-end trim) with three rows of seats. However, the boot will only be effective once the third row of seats have been folded down. The Ertiga will be offered in both petrol and diesel motor options. The petrol will be a 95bhp 1.4-litre variable valve engine, the diesel is most likely to be the tried and tested 1.3-litre variable geometric multijet engine.
The Ertiga will be one of the cars that Maruti Suzuki will unveil at the upcoming Auto Expo. At the last Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki had showcased the RIII concept.
