The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been tested by Global NCAP and scored one star in the crash test. The MPV is manufactured in India and comes equipped with dual front airbags, ESC, seatbelt reminder, and seatbelt pre-tensioner with load limiter. It also gets ISOFIX child seat anchorages in the rear row.
The Ertiga scored 23.63 points in adult occupant protection and 19.40 points in child occupant protection. As per the results, good protection was offered to the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck. The footwell and bodyshell were rated unstable and not capable of withstanding further loadings.
The higher variants of the Ertiga are equipped with side airbags, height-adjustable front seatbelts, and a rear parking camera. The Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates 102bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. It is coupled with manual and automatic gearboxes.
