The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift has been revealed at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Indonesia. We can expect the car to be launched for the Indian market during the festive season.
The Ertiga facelift gets a mild cosmetic makeover to differentiate it from its predecessor. The most evident change on the fascia is the new three-slat grille in place of the current four-slat one. This is embellished in chrome to make the car look fresh. The front air intakes also are slightly modified with revisions to the bumper as well. The side profile remains identical to the current model, however, there is an addition of electronically foldable OVRMs, which will be available only in the Vdi/Vxi and Zdi/Zxi trim. The rear profile boasts of a new chrome garnish above the registration plate, rear parking sensors and extended taillight reflectors.
The cabin of the facelifted car retains the same layout and upholstery. But there are a few additions like new fabric upholstery, a 50:50 split for the third row seats and a new dark brown colour for the steering wheel and gear stick.
The facelifted Ertiga continues to employ the 1.4-litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine. While the former churns out 94bhp of power and 130Nm of torque, the latter produces 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
With the added features, the car might be slightly expensive than the current model and will rival the Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and the Nissan Evalia in our country.
