- Expected to be offered in two powertrains
- Will be sold via the Nexa chain
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will make its India debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo starting 17 January. It is Maruti’s first EV and the production-ready version of the eVX concept shown at the 2023 Auto Expo. The car is expected to be launched here by the end of the financial year and will be sold via Maruti’s premium Nexa showrooms.
Revealed at the start of November, the e Vitara brings a host of new elements to Maruti Suzuki’s electric game, including a new electric platform, new features, and a new design language. Globally, it is being offered with two battery packs and two motor options, and we expect the same in India. We have looked at the e Vitara in detail, and you can check out the video listed below.
The e Vitara will be Maruti’s competitor in an emerging segment whose players are expected to include the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, Kia Carens EV, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, Skoda Kushaq-based EV, and the Honda Elevate-based EV. The final two are expected to be launched in 2027.
