Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 109,743 vehicles in January 2011. This includes 9,321 units of exports during the month. The company had sold a total of 95,649 vehicles in January 2010, including 81,087 vehicles in the domestic market. The launch of the Alto K10 and the new Wagon R have spearheaded the company's car ales in the country.
Maruti Suzuki is the only Indian car company to cross the one million mark in production and sales. With the launch of the Kizashi (read first drive) and the Swift 2011 launch this year, Maruti would certainly look at selling three if not four times the cars they sold this year. After all, time and again they have proved that they produce the most loved cars in the country, and the company plans to keep it that way.
