Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ciaz RS variant at Rs 9.20 lakh (petrol) and Rs 10.28 lakh (diesel) (Ex-showroom Delhi). The RS variants are based on the top-spec ZXi+ and ZDi+ Ciaz models and comprise cosmetic changes internally and externally.
The external changes include a body kit comprising a sporty front and rear bumper, side skirts and a very prominent rear spoiler. The cabin has now been trimmed out in sporty black with a grey coloured chrome finish for the instrument panel.
There are no mechanical changes to the Ciaz sedan. On the petrol front, the engine is a 1.4-litre four-cylinder mill that produces 91bhp/130Nm and can be had with a five-speed manual or a four-speed AT. The diesel, on the other hand, is the 1.3-litre Multijet unit in the 90bhp/200Nm state of tune. It is available only with a five-speed manual.
