Maruti Suzuki has received a very positive response from potential buyers for their latest C-segment offering, the Ciaz. According to a report by Autocar Professional, the striking looking sedan has received 17,000 bookings since its launch last month.
Maruti has already shipped 6,000 units of the Ciaz to its dealerships so far. The report further states that most customers are those who have upgraded from either the Swift or other premium hatchbacks. This means that the Ciaz, which has been priced quite attractively, comes off as an ideal upgrade for most premium hatchback users.
On sale since the second week of October, the Ciaz is available in a total of four variants – Vxi, Vxi+, Zxi and Zxi+ in petrol and diesel. It is powered by the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol and the tried-and-tested 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine units. The car has been designed to please a wide range of audience with its contemporary and modern design and impressive feature-list including projector headlamps, keyless entry and start function, multi-function steering wheel, climate control, rear AC vents, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, ABS, EBD and dual airbags and much more.
Maruti Suzuki is currently on a roll. The automaker has been bringing in new and updated products in quick succession. After the Ciaz and the recently launched Swift facelift, Maruti is now readying the new Alto K10 and the Swift Dzire facelift for the Indian market.
