- Registers sales of 3,672 units in March 2019.
- C2 sedan segment sales dropped by 21 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has registered sales of 3,672 units in March 2019. Sales of the Ciaz have surpassed its competition, with Honda City coming second with 3,432 units, while Hyundai Verna managed 3,201 units in March 2019. The C2 sedan segment has witnessed diminishing sales with a drop in overall sales by 21 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki recently introduced a new 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine on the Ciaz, which should help the sedan in maintaining its lead in the C2 segment. With the upcoming BS-VI emission norms set to come into effect from April 2020, Maruti Suzuki has announced it will discontinue the 1.3-litre diesel motor. Apart from the diesel motors, the Ciaz is also available with a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is the most VFM offering in its class and offers an extensive features list. It also provides the most spacious cabin. However, the car lacks in build quality, compared to the competition. Some of its exciting features include LED projector headlamps, cruise control, colour TFT MID unit and much more.
