The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been launched at the 2014 National Automobile Dealers Association in Nepal for 19.99 lakh NPR (Rs 12.45 lakh). Manufactured and exported from the Indo-Japanese automaker’s plant in Gurgaon, the car is being offered with one engine and two transmission options.
The car was launched in India during the 2014 Auto Expo and was priced at Rs 3.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is powered by the 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine that produces 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual or an Automated Manual Transmission (which the company has called EZ-Drive).
The Celerio, in Nepal, is being offered in five variants. The base variant of the Celerio features Manual AC, Power Steering, Tachometer (AMT) and gear-position indicator (AMT), while the VXi has power windows and the Central Locking System in addition to a slew of features offered in the LXi model.
The top-end variant ZXi comes with additional premium features like audio system with CD, USB, AUX and Bluetooth capability, audio controls on steering wheel, keyless entry, tilt steering, fog lamps, ABS, alloy wheels and electric OVRMS. On the safety front Maruti Suzuki is offering optional ABS as well as front airbags.
