The country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has updated the Celerio and the Celerio X with a fresh set of safety features. The cars are introduced with an additional set of standard safety features in the form of ABS with EBD, speed alert system, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder, and rear parking sensors to meet the new safety norms.
Changes are limited to safety feature upgrades, while mechanically it continues to be powered by the existing 1.0-litre K-Series, three-cylinder petrol engine that generates 67bhp and 90Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual and AMT options. The popular hatchback from Maruti Suzuki can also be had with a CNG option.
With the new safety features, the updated model has witnessed a slight rise in prices where the Celerio now starts at Rs 4.31 lakhs and the Celerio X now starts at Rs 4.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
