-Â Â Â Seven petrol and four diesel
-Â Â Â Six colours
-Â Â Â Baleno RS will be updated also
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is expected to be launched within the next few weeks and will be offered in 11 variants and six colour options. In addition, the Baleno RS too will be updated during this mid-life refresh for the Baleno family. The 11 variants comprise of seven petrol options and four diesels.Â
No mechanical changes are expected and this means the 84bhp 1.2-litre petrol and 75bhp 1.3-litre diesel will be retained. The Baleno RS’ engine will continue to be the 1.0-litre 100bhp Booster Jet engine. The CVT option is being offered across the petrol range while the RS only gets a five-speed manual.
The major change to the Baleno is a new face. This involves a new and sporty looking front bumper. We also expect Maruti Suzuki to offer the new Smart Play infotainment system that debuted with the next generation Wagon R. Bookings for the Baleno have already opened and the amount has been set at Rs 11,000. The Maruti Baleno is a rival to the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo.Â
