-Mid-life update for Maruti’s premium hatchback
-Expected to launch within the first quarter of this year
-No mechanical changes
The first image of the Maruti Baleno facelift has been leaked on the internet ahead of its launch in the Indian market within the next few months. This image, showing the fascia of the car, reveals that the Baleno will get a new and sharper (as compared to the current car) looking bumper.
The chrome elements on the face have been retained in their entirety but the new bumper design gives the car a refreshed look. No mechanical changes are expected and the car will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.3-litre diesel and even the 1.0-litre Boosterjet in the RS guise. There’s no word on the interiors but we can expect some minor cosmetic changes and update in the feature list.
The Baleno is Maruti’s answer to the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo as well as the upcoming Tata 45X/Aquilla.
