- Maruti’s plants in Gurugram and Manesar will be shut on 7 and 9 September
- The Gujarat plant will continue to operate as per schedule
Maruti Suzuki has announced that two of their plants will observe no production days on 7 September and 9 September 2019. The production facilities include those located in Gurugram and Manesar. The Gujarat facility will continue to be operational as per schedule.
Maruti manufactures models such as the Celerio, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza and the WagonR at the Manesar factory. Meanwhile, models like the Alto, Eeco, Ertiga and the S-cross are manufactured at the Gurugram factory.
Maruti Suzuki’s announcement to observe no production days at two of their plants come at a time when the industry is facing a sharp decline in the sales across segments. In August, the company registered a dip of 33 per-cent in sales compared to the same period last year.
