Maruti Suzuki has silently launched the Alto K10 Plus edition in India at Rs 3.40 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The freshly introduced K10 Plus edition is based on the manual VXi variant, but additionally offers 10 new features. Changes will be limited to cosmetic upgrades while mechanically it will continue to be powered by the existing engine.
Speaking of features, the Alto K10 Plus edition gets plastic door protectors, rear spoiler, chrome accent on wheel arches, beltline as well as fog lamps, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. As for the interior, the Plus edition is offered with reverse parking sensors, front power windows, a central locking system and a piano-finish music player. Under the hood, it continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 67bhp of power and 90Nm of torque. The new special edition trim is available only in five-speed manual, while the regular VXi trim also has an optional AMT.
It is believed that the new Alto K10 Plus might help Maruti Suzuki clear-up its pending stocks ahead of introducing the facelift model. Moreover, it will also help the Indian automaker further boost up sales and strengthen its competition against the Renault Kwid in India.
