Maruti Suzuki is now offering a CNG compatible variant of the Alto 800. It is available in the LXi and LXi (O) variants and they are priced at Rs 4.11 lakhs and 4.14 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Alto is only offered with a 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine producing 48bhp/69Nm and this engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The CNG powered models are priced Rs 60,000 over the equivalent standard fuel models.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto in its current generation was launched on 23 April with a BS VI compliant engine as well as design and feature updates. It is Maruti Suzuki’s entry-level model and takes on the likes of the Datsun Redigo and the Renault Kwid.
