The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 will undergo a facelift this year. It has been four years since the car was launched and this would be about the time for an update which we can now confirm thanks to some new spy shots. Most of the changes to the Alto 800 are cosmetic and it is expected to be launched later this year.
Spy pictures reveal that the Alto 800 will get a revised face. The changes here comprise a different design grille, slightly modified headlamps and the inclusion of fog lamps in the top-of-the-line ZXi variant. There appear to be no other changes to the vehicle externally. We could possibly expect a revision to the cabin and maybe an updated feature list as a part of the makeover.
The Alto 800 is powered by a three-cylinder 796cc petrol engine that produces 47bhp and 69Nm of torque. It is offered across all variants with a five-speed manual and the option of CNG. By the look of things this is a mid-life facelift before a new model comes along some time in 2019.
