Maruti Suzuki announced the recall of the diesel variants of its cars namely the Swift, Ritz and the Swift Dzire. The company found a defect in the Connecting Rod Bolt in engines manufactured between November 13 2010 to December 4 2010. A total of 13157 cars have been recalled which include 4505 Swift Dzires, 6841 Swifts and 1811 Ritz.
The company will be inspecting the components and if found defective; they will be replaced free of cost. The recall comes months before the company plans to get the all new-Swift into the market. Click here to check if your Maruti needs inspection.
