Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has announced an increase in the prices of models from its stable. The hike will range from Rs 2000 to Rs 6000.
The 800 will be dearer by Rs 2000; the Alto, Rs 2500; the Zen Estilo and Wagon R, Rs 3000; the Omni van, Rs 2200; the SX4, Rs 6000; the Versa, Rs 3500 and the Gypsy, Rs 5500. Certain variants of the Swift will cost Rs 4500 more. However, the Swift Dzire has been excluded from the hike. The price hike has occurred due to rising input costs, especially that of steel.
