- The Grand Vitara has undergone multiple tests under BNCAP
- Various variants were tested
According to images shared on the web, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has undergone crash tests held by Bharat NCAP, commonly known as BNCAP. The official results of these tests are yet to be announced by the safety body.
Notably, there were at least two variants of the Grand Vitara that underwent the BNCAP test. While one of them could be a top-spec offering, the other test car could be a mid-spec variant, with the wheels being the key giveaway for both versions.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara underwent the standard frontal impact test as well as the side impact test. The results of these crash tests are expected to be officially declared in the coming weeks.
For the uninitiated, the Maruti Grand Vitara comes equipped with safety features in the form of dual airbags, ABS with EBD, HSA, height-adjustable seat-belts, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, seat belt reminder system, and Isofix child seat anchorages as standard. The higher variants get additional features, including front side and curtain airbags, 360-degree camera, EPS, TPMS, and more.
