- Could be the first Maruti car in India to get an ADAS suite
- Grand Vitara with ADAS also in the works
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been spotted testing in the country, and this time around, the carmaker is testing the car equipped with an ADAS suite. New spy shots shared on the web reveal a partially camouflaged test mule.
As seen in the images here, the Fronx has an ADAS sensor on its front grille, unlike the India-spec car, which misses out on one. This hints that Maruti is likely to be considering offering the feature for the local market with the Toyota Taisor-rival.
Maruti Suzuki recently commenced exporting the Fronx to the Japanese market. This is currently the only region that is known to get an ADAS suite with the Baleno-based model. Notably, the carmaker is also working on offering the feature with the Grand Vitara and the technology was showcased at the previous iteration of the Auto Expo. Maruti does not currently offer an ADAS suite on any of its products sold in the Indian market.
