- eVX prices in India to be announced in H1 2025
- Will make its world debut at 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo
Maruti Suzuki showcased the eVX electric SUV for the first time at the 2023 Auto Expo. This was followed by an updated iteration that debuted at the Japan Mobility Show last year. The carmaker has now confirmed the timeline of the car's reveal in the production-ready form.
The new production-spec Suzuki eVX will be showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in Delhi. It will then be launched in the European market first, followed by the Indian market, both in the first half of 2025.The first all-electric offering from Maruti Suzuki, the eVX will compete in the mid-size electric SUV segment, which will have upcoming cars such as the Hyundai Creta EV and the Honda Elevate EV, as well as the MG ZS EV and the Tata Curvv EV.
Maruti has not revealed the technical specifications of the 2025 eVX yet, although we expect it to be powered by a 60kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor powering the front wheels. This powertrain could return a claimed range of 550km on a single full charge. In terms of features, the new eVX could come equipped with split LED headlamps, large alloy wheels, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, electrically adjustable front seats, two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, 360-degree camera, floating centre console, and a rotary dial for the drive modes.
