Maruti Suzuki has reached a cumulative production milestone of 30 lakh units for the Dzire. This milestone was achieved in 16 years and 11 months. Notable milestones of 1 million and 2 million units in April 2015 and June 2019, respectively.
Previously, the Dzire achieved a cumulative production of 1 million units in April 2015, and the 2 million production milestone was achieved in June 2019. Other Maruti Suzuki models to have crossed the 3 million cumulative production milestone include the Alto, Swift, and the WagonR.
The Maruti Dzire was launched originally in 2008 and followed by the second and third generations in 2012 and 2017, respectively. The latest iteration of the Dzire, now in its fourth generation, was launched in November 2024 with prices starting at Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from local sales, the carmaker also exports the model to 48 regions. Some of which include Latin and Central America, Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Maruti has exported a total of 2.6 lakh units across all four generations of the Dzire, and further, it was the second-highest model to be exported by the company. Additionally, the brand hit 30 lakh units export milestone earlier this year. Apart from the Dzire, there are three models from Maruti that have surpasses the 30 lakh units production milestone, including the Alto, Swift, and the Wagon R.
