Maruti Ciaz to soon get standard ISOFIX mounts for child seats

Maruti Suzuki will soon equip the Ciaz sedan with ISOFIX mounts for child seats. This move is to make the Ciaz a safer car with provision of this safety equipment. 

Cars with ISOFIX mounts help the child seat to be held securely in one place. These are small attachment points on which the child seats can be anchored to the car's rear bench seat. Generally these mounts are designed to secure a combined weight of 33kg. Once the child seat is strapped on to the seat and securely anchored, this safety feature basically minimizes the risk of injury in case of a collision. 

Maruti Suzuki surely wants to push the envelope of safety standards with the introduction of such safety features. The ISOFIX mounts will be offered as standard across all variants of the Ciaz soon. It is good to see many manufacturers are offering safety features as standard or as an option in their cars these days.
