The Celerio is clearly the most awaited product from Maruti Suzuki and the carmaker knows this is trump card. The carmaker is keeping the public in suspense till tomorrow when it will unveil the car. Modelled on the A-Wind, this car is expected to replace the A-Star in India.
Today, Maruti Suzuki unveiled the S-Cross and the Ciaz, leaving the Celerio for tomorrow. The Celerio will be launched in three trim levels – LXi, VXi and ZXi. The biggest draw in this car is supposed to be the Automated Manual Transmission. All three trim levels come equipped with EZ Drive technology which has found a new meaning in the Celerio. With AMT it does away with the use of clutch and lets the driver shift gears manually.
The Celerio gets the same 1.0-litre K-series engine used by other Maruti cars which pumps out 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. The Celerio also gets a conventional five-speed gearbox
Tomorrow will be the day when we get to see the Celerio. Stay tuned for updates.
