One of Maruti’s most important launches this year, the Celerio hatchback, has been the talk of the town lately. While the spy photos from every angle are available on the internet, finally we have details of the features and variants of the Celerio, courtesy leaked brochure.
The Celerio, as expected, comes in Maruti’s standard Lxi, Vxi and Zxi variants. The barebones Lxi variant gets basic features like AC, power steering and body-coloured bumpers, distance to empty, engine immobiliser and a tachometer (only on AGS models). The Vxi gets all features of the Lxi and adds a vanity mirror for the co-driver, day-night internal rear-view mirror, central locking, internal adjustment for ORVMs and power windows. The option of auto-manual gearbox is available with all variants and Maruti is giving more importance to this variant, offering more features for the same trim level.
The top-of-the-line Zxi gets all features from the Vxi and brings body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. It also gets a music system with CD/USB/AUX-in and Bluetooth, four speakers, keyless entry, electric adjustments for ORVMs, tilt steering with audio controls, ABS and rear demister. The AMT variant or the AGS as the company calls it, gets fog lamps, alloy wheels and seat adjustment for the driver seat.
The Celerio will be launched at the 2014 Auto Expo and the company has already started offering test drives and dealers are accepting bookings as well.
