Maruti Suzuki sold 7,832 units of the Vitara Brezza in April, as against the 3,789 Ford EcoSports sold in the same month. The Brezza had outsold the EcoSport in March as well and has now further taken the lead by more than double.
Maruti Suzuki had sold 5,563 units of the Brezza in March, its launch month. This is when Ford managed to sell 4,456 EcoSports, a little higher than what they were averaging per month. This surge in sales was due to the drop in prices of the car. However, the Vitara Brezza's sales zoomed ahead increasing this gap easily. All thanks to the beginning of the compact SUV's deliveries in full form.
Interestingly, in April, the Vitara Brezza was just 68 units short of snatching the crown from the segment leader Hyundai Creta. 7,900 units of the Creta were sold that included both petrol and diesel models. So considering the fact that the Brezza is only sold as a diesel model, this new car has shown a stellar performance. And looking at its increasing demand, we wouldn’t be surprised if Maruti Suzuki’s new kid comes out on top of the list soon.
