Maruti Suzuki had recently launched the Alto 800 facelift in India which came with fresh cosmetic upgrades. This time around, the company has launched the new Alto 800 facelift in two variants - LXi and VXi in Sri Lanka. The small car has been introduced at a starting price of LKR 20.15 lakhs (Rs 9.33 Lakh).
Mechanically there are no changes for the Sri Lanka-bound model and it continues to be powered by the existing 800cc petrol engine which puts out 47bhp of power and 69Nm of torque. The fairly powered engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Owing to few tweaks, the new model claims to return a fuel efficiency figure of 24.7kmpl. Additionally, it also gets a brake booster for improved braking performance.
For freshness, the car gets a dark grey shade with new seat upholstery for the interior, door trim fabric and integrated headrest for the rear seats. The top-end VXi variant additionally offers keyless entry, music system and parcel tray. As for safety, driver airbag is optional on both the variants.
The new Alto 800 facelift is now available in two new exterior colour options - Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue. As for the design, the new Alto 800 facelift gets a new large grille in the front bumper and tweaked headlamps.
